Golf in Màlaga

I had a long slept in and woke up at around noon. This is because I could not sleep until around 3 AM the other night.

The weather was nice and sunny as always and I feel too lazy to do anything at all. I know if I don’t do anything, I’ll be lethargic and it’ll dampened my mood. So, I called the nearest golf club near the school, club De golf el Candado, and asked what time is their opening hours.

Club De Golf El Candado was only around 10 minutes taxi ride from the school’s accommodation. I think I paid €7 for a taxi ride there. They are open everyday and if I play on Sundays after 3 PM the rates is €13 for 18 holes or 9 holes. The rental of golf club, wheeled carrier including balls are €15.

I was there around 3.30 PM. The pro shop attendant’s name was Juan. He was really nice and helpful. I talked a bit with him in Spanish. I was the only one playing. It was amazing because I feel so relax and so serene.

The golf course was small compared to the one I’ve been in Jakarta. The design was interesting especially on hole 5 and 7, because I had to hit the ball passed the road.

I only played for 9 holes and finished around 6 PM. I had a par on hole 6!! Yay!! The others are double or even worse. I need to practice more putting and pitching.

In the evening, I went out for the first time with some friends from the school to watch soccer World Cup final between Germany and Argentina.

At around midnight I walked back to the students’ accommodation with a girlfriend from the States.
