Style File – 11 March 2012 (Sydney day 2)

Today was our last day in Sydney. Everything ran as planned.

In the morning we went to ‘The Eight’ restaurant on level 3 of Market City (above Paddy’s market). I highly recommends their vegetarian dumplings. Even though I live with a vegetarian husband, I must say that I wasn’t a fan of vegetarian dumplings until today! They were so good! I’ll be sure to come back next time we’re in Sydney.

Then we went for groceries shopping at Paddy’s market. We bought pears, apples, bananas, nectarines, grapes, sweet plums, etc for the total of $24.90. Clearly groceries are more expensive in Canberra than Sydney.

My best friend came to Market City to say goodbye. It was nice of her to do so.

And I bought a new dress from Review factory outlet on level 2 of Market City. Honestly, the price is not that cheap & it’s still the same price as when they have discounts in the normal shops. But there are more sizes there for off season items.

At noon we went to the Husband’s uncle’s place near fox studios. It was nice to see his part of the family including his cousin & wife & their two gorgeous children.

In the late afternoon, we went to the best Padangnese restaurant in Sydney called Pondok Buyung in Anzac pde. I bought so much food for me & my girlfriends. They sell the green chilly condiments (sambel ijo), brain curry (gulai Otak), the chewy tendon curry (gulai kikil), young jack fruit curry (gulai nangka), rendang and many more.

Here is their address:

The last stop for today was the DFO in Homebush. We bought shoes & pants for the husband.

Earlier today I was wearing a top given by my best friend yesterday. She went to a shop called Hue at the Far East Plaza in Singapore & bought 11 dresses!! The cut was perfect for extra petite people like us🙂
